Terms of service

Terms for personal and business purchases and Gift on Cue accounts.

1. About Gift on Cue

Gift on Cue is operated by Stride World LTD, registered in England and Wales, company number 16865108. Our registered office is 5th Floor 167-169 Great Portland Street, London, England, W1W 5PF. Our VAT number is GB519988916.

For orders, returns or complaints, email hello@giftoncue.com. For privacy questions, email privacy@giftoncue.com.

We aim to reply within one working day, Monday to Friday excluding UK bank holidays.

If something hasn't been resolved, please tell us you'd like to make a complaint so we can review it properly. Unresolved complaints will be escalated to the owner.

Please contact us for return instructions before sending anything back. Our registered office is not the return destination for orders.

2. Who can use Gift on Cue

Gift on Cue accepts business and personal purchases. Customers and gift recipients must be aged 18 or over. If you order for a business, you must have authority to do so.

3. Prices, payments and recommendations

We show the total payable, including applicable tax and delivery charges, before you approve payment. UK public prices include any UK VAT due. Tax treatment can vary by product and destination.

You approve your gift, recipient, message, artwork and payment scope before we proceed. Recommendations and AI-assisted wording are suggestions for you to check and approve. We do not send gifts or approve payments on your behalf without your authorisation.

4. Accepting your order

For direct purchases, your purchase contract starts when we send confirmation that we have accepted your order. An automatic acknowledgement that we have received your request is not, by itself, acceptance. If we cannot accept the order, we will explain and refund any money taken for it.

For invitation gifts, confirmation that an invitation has been created does not confirm a purchase of the gift. We confirm the gift purchase after the recipient claims, payment succeeds and we accept the order. An unclaimed invitation has no gift charge.

5. Purchased funds and promotional credit

You can request a refund of unused money paid into your account, back to the original payment method, without an administration fee. Free promotional credit has no cash value and cannot be withdrawn.

Our £10 welcome credit is available once per verified customer account. It discounts merchandise before tax is calculated and does not cover delivery charges. It does not expire and cannot be combined with other promotions. Unused credit remains available. If eligible promotional value is refunded, it returns as promotional credit.

6. Personalisation and artwork

Please check your design and order details carefully before approval. We'll produce your items using your approved artwork.

If we faithfully reproduce a mistake in artwork or details you approved, a free remake is not included. If we make a production error, we will put it right. This does not remove your rights if the product is faulty or does not match the agreed order.

You must own your artwork or have permission to use it. You keep ownership of your designs. You allow us to use and share them as needed to preview, produce and fulfil your order, and to save your reusable designs. We will ask separately before using your artwork in our marketing.

You must not upload designs or messages that are unlawful, hateful, threatening, harassing, discriminatory, defamatory or infringe someone else's rights.

We may pause or refuse orders containing prohibited content. Where appropriate, we'll explain the concern and give you an opportunity to change your design. Serious or repeated misuse may lead to restrictions on your account. Refusal does not automatically mean you lose money paid; refunds follow the applicable cancellation rules and your legal rights.

7. Responsible gifting

For business gifts, you must be authorised to send on behalf of your organisation and use gifting for a legitimate business purpose. Gifts must not be intended to improperly influence decisions or secure preferential treatment. Check relevant gift policies and tell us accurately about the business relationship and purpose.

For all purchases, provide recipient details lawfully, use appropriate messages and respect recipient opt-outs. We may ask for clarification or refuse a gift that breaches these rules or presents a restricted-recipient or product risk.

We remain responsible for our own obligations. Your confirmations do not transfer all responsibility for legality, privacy or fulfilment to you.

8. Responsibility when things go wrong

For personal purchases, we are responsible for reasonably foreseeable loss or damage caused by our breach of the contract or failure to use reasonable care and skill. Your consumer rights, including rights relating to faulty goods and delivery, are unaffected.

For business purchases, our total liability for ordinary contractual claims arising from an affected order is limited to that order's agreed total price. This business limit does not apply to personal purchases or remove any refund, replacement or other remedy that we cannot lawfully limit.

We do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

If you are a business customer, you are responsible for reasonable losses and costs of justified third-party claims directly caused by unlawful or unauthorised content you supply in breach of our artwork rules. We will tell you about a claim, give you a reasonable opportunity to respond and take reasonable steps to limit the loss. You are not responsible for losses caused by our own errors, negligence or breach, or for costs we could reasonably have avoided.

If you are a personal customer, you may be responsible for reasonable, foreseeable losses directly caused by your breach of our artwork rules. This does not make you responsible for our own errors or remove your legal rights.

9. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Business disputes will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales.

For personal purchases, this does not take away mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live or your right to bring proceedings in the courts available to you there.

10. Privacy and policy changes

Our privacy notice explains how we handle account, recipient, order and artwork data. The terms agreed for your purchase continue to apply to that purchase. Material changes to ongoing service terms will be communicated before they take effect, with applicable customer rights preserved.

11. Business contact and campaign services

Where we process personal information on your business’s behalf, our Data Processing Agreement forms part of your account/service agreement for that work. An ordinary purchase does not itself require a separate DPA acceptance.

Our returns policy and delivery policy explain cancellations, refunds and delivery arrangements.
